My life in China:a tale of unforgettable experiences

Mudare Shingirai

Back then when I was still a village boy, I had always imagined how it feels to live a different life from the one I had. My name is Mudare Shingirai, a young man aged 29 from Zimbabwe. Currently, I am studying for my master's degree in Resource Utilization, Environmental Science, and Plant Protection at China Agricultural University with the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences. My thoughts and ambitions were always to grow up to be a person with the capacity to change the world that we live in. Seeing my friends and colleagues coming to the village every vacation and going back to their respective schools was one of the things I cherished. More than ever, I became so eager to travel and know as many places as I could. I then promised myself if ever I get the opportunity to explore the world, I would not hesitate. However, the world I imagined at that time was not as diverse as the one I am currently experiencing. Neither did I know that someday I would leave my home country and fly to China, live with the Chinese, and learn a lot from them. I will share my story of how I traveled to China and my greatest experiences so far.
